Whether you’re hinting at a proposal or designing the perfect ring together, 2025 is already sparkling with fresh inspiration. At JUNI, I believe your ring should feel as unique and beautiful as your story—and that it should last far beyond any passing trend.
But if you’re curious about what’s capturing hearts this year, here’s a look at what’s trending, and the timeless touches that never go out of style.
Colour is Having a Moment
Classic diamonds will always have a place in our hearts, but 2025 is seeing a rise in couples choosing coloured stones to add personality and meaning to their rings. Think champagne diamonds, soft peach sapphires, pale greens like mint tourmaline, and delicate pinks that feel romantic but modern.
These subtle shades still feel elegant and refined but allow couples to express a bit more individuality. Whether it’s a coloured centre stone or soft accents on the shoulders or halo, colour is a beautiful way to say something a little different.
East-West Settings
A traditional stone turned on its side can suddenly feel effortlessly fresh. East-west settings—where elongated shapes like emerald, oval or marquise are set horizontally—are becoming a favourite among couples looking for something quietly bold.
They offer a modern twist without being too ‘out there,’ and they work beautifully with both minimalist and decorative designs. Plus, their unique shape often makes them feel more personal, almost like a secret only a few would spot. They’re a great option if you love timeless shapes but want your ring to feel a little unexpected.
Hidden Details
More couples are seeking ways to add meaning in subtle, almost secret ways. Hidden diamonds beneath the setting, engraved initials, or even design elements inspired by something personal—like where you met, or a song lyric—are becoming increasingly popular.
These details are the kind that might not be visible at first glance, but make the ring feel even more special when you know they’re there. For me, it’s one of the most magical parts of the bespoke process—working with couples to include hidden symbols or sweet nods that make their ring truly theirs.
Chunkier Bands & Statement Gold
Delicate will always be in, but 2025 is embracing more substantial bands and sculptural settings. Thicker gold bands, brushed textures, and softly organic shapes are taking centre stage. They still have that clean, elegant energy—but with a bolder, more grounded feel.
These rings often have a quiet confidence to them. They pair beautifully with classic stones (think oval solitaires or emerald cuts) and work especially well for those who want a ring that stands strong on its own but still stacks beautifully.
Oval, Pear and Radiant-Cuts Reign Supreme
Elongated shapes are continuing to win hearts in 2025, especially oval, pear, and radiant cuts. They’re flattering on the hand, full of sparkle, and offer that balance of modern-meets-timeless that so many couples are looking for.
Ovals are still my most requested shape here at JUNI, closely followed by radiant cuts—which have that extra fire and edge for those who want a bit more wow. Pears remain a romantic favourite, especially in softly asymmetric settings.
What’s Here to Stay
Some things will always feel right—no matter the year or the trend.
Solitaire simplicity – Clean, classic, and all about the stone. A solitaire is like the white T-shirt of engagement rings: effortless, enduring, and endlessly customisable.
Bespoke design – Couples are leaning more than ever into making their ring their own. Whether it’s the shape, the setting, or the meaning behind it, bespoke rings aren’t just a trend—they’re the future.
Ethical stones – Sustainability is no longer a side note. With lab-grown diamonds and moissanites offering beautiful, ethical alternatives, more couples are choosing stones that align with their values and their budget.
Stacking potential – Whether you’re planning ahead for your wedding band or just love a layered look, rings that can be paired and stacked are still very much in. Thoughtful design that leaves room for future rings is something I always keep in mind during the design process.
________
Whether you’re drawn to soft colour, chunky gold, or a clean, minimalist shape, your engagement ring should feel like a reflection of you. If you’re dreaming of something timeless with a modern edge, I’d love to help you bring it to life.
Love, always
